Updated documents for communications funding and security/sustainability from CISA/NSWIC

Two important links to recent update documents from CISA / NCSWIC that are valuable resources for public safety communications funding, security, and sustainability.

1. The updated SAFECOM Interoperability Continuum and SAFECOM Interoperability Continuum Frequently Asked Questions.
   • Highlights of the updated SAFECOM Interoperability Continuum include additional emphasis of information security and cybersecurity, as well as governance information to highlight the importance of lifecycle funding.
   • The SAFECOM Interoperability Continuum Frequently Asked Questions explains how the Continuum was updated and why, in addition to other commonly asked questions to assist readers in gaining a complete understanding of the Continuum.
2. The Funding Mechanisms Guide for Public Safety Communications has been published on the SAFECOM Funding Resources webpage under “Sustaining Public Safety Communications Systems.” The public safety community can leverage the guide to identify funding sources for emergency communications projects.
