The Natick Police Department will host this course on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The cost of this course is $225. The number of mental health calls is on the rise. Substance abuse poses special challenges for first responders and 911 call takers need to be ready. This course familiarizes call takers with a wide variety of mental health disorders, cognitive impairments and substance abuse disorders. This course explains appropriate responses, available resources, and legal aspects surrounding these types of calls. This course is approved for continuing education and satisfies the behavioral health requirement.
