I declared my intent to run again for the Massachusetts Communication Supervisors Association Regional Vice-President of Essex County position at the April 2019 MCSA Meeting. I am volunteering to serve again as I feel my work is not complete. I am dedicated to working on professionalizing the 911 industry and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with the MCSA.
I have been working in public safety for over 20 years. I live in West Newbury with my husband have two adult children. I have served as on the MCSA Board as Secretary, President (5 terms), and currently the Essex County Vice President (2 terms). I am passionate about our profession. I am an APCO Registered Public Safety Leader and a Fitch Associates Communications Center Manager 2013 graduate through the State 911 leadership grant. I have represented small PSAPs and Regional PSAPs on many State 911 workgroups and strategic sourcing teams, including EMD, NG911, and Wireless Direct. Since 2011 I have been Adjunct Instructor for APCO International, and love teaching and inspiring others during my time off from my full-time job at the ECRECC. In 2013 I received the honor of being named the Jeff GrossmanTelecommunicator of the Year.
If you choose to vote for me, to serve, as your regional vice president, I will continue to educate the public and promote that certified 911 Telecommunicators are the first, first responder – locally, throughout the Commonwealth, and nationally. I will work to unite 911 Telecommunicators in Essex County and the Commonwealth, sharing knowledge and information amongst each other to better ourselves and our chosen profession.
Thank you for your consideration!
Lee Ann
